Flexible Prism Holder for Edges
Surveying of Concrete Components and Chamfers
Concrete construction elements typically feature chamfers for both structural integrity and aesthetic appeal. Measuring these chamfers using a Total Station can be challenging, as standard prisms cannot precisely target the intersection of the two planes (the constructive edge of the component) due to the chamfer.
To address this issue, we offer SBF Flexible Prism Holder for concrete components with chamfers. This holder is suitable for all components with a chamfer width of 20 mm or more. It is ideal for positioning precast concrete elements and inspecting elements concreted on-site.
SBF Flexible Prism Holder for Edges:
- Construction: Two flat aluminum plates connected by a hinge joint.
- Adaptability: Can be used on all components with a chamfer from 20 mm and adapts to the angle of the component.
- Precision: The hinge axis lies exactly in the intersection line of the two bearing surfaces.
- Flexibility: The precision prism PP 17.5 (not included) is screwed into the center of the hinge via an M4 inner thread, allowing the prism to rotate in all directions within the carrier. It can be aligned over a 180° range to the Total Station, independent of the flex angle.
- Adjustable Resistance: Inclination resistance is adjustable for precise measurements.
- Lightweight: Weighs approximately 250 grams (excluding the prism).
This innovative holder simplifies the accurate measurement of concrete chamfers, ensuring precision in both the positioning and inspection of concrete elements.
