Handheld SLAM Scanners rental from Latnet
Handheld SLAM scanners have changed how as-built, BIM and volume work gets done: one person walks the site and leaves with a full 3D point cloud. Renting is the fastest way to add that capability for a single project or to test the workflow before you invest.
The RS10 combines LiDAR, visual SLAM and GNSS RTK, so outdoor scans land directly in your survey coordinate system. The RS7 is a lighter, lower-cost option for indoor, underground and GNSS-denied spaces.

Why rent from Latnet
Frequently asked questions
RS10 or RS7 — which should I rent?
Pick the RS10 if you work outdoors or need results tied to survey control — its GNSS RTK georeferences the scan directly. Pick the RS7 for indoor or underground work where GNSS is unavailable and budget matters.
How accurate is a handheld SLAM scanner?
With good control and closed loops, the RS10 produces survey-grade point clouds suitable for as-builts and volume work. We are happy to review your accuracy requirements before you book.
Can I rent a scanner long term?
Yes. Weekly rates apply from 7 days, and we can quote multi-week or monthly terms for longer projects.
Can I use the Latnet CORS network with the rental?
Yes. Latnet operates its own CORS RTK correction network covering parts of Alberta. If your project is inside coverage, you can use NTRIP corrections without setting up a base station; we confirm coverage and include credentials with the rental.
What is the minimum rental period?
The minimum rental is 3 days. Rentals of 3–6 days use the short-term daily rate; from 7 days the lower weekly rate applies automatically.
Do you ship rental equipment outside Alberta?
Yes. We ship across Canada, including British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Quebec. Local pickup is available at our Calgary location, and shipping is included in your quote.
How fast can you dispatch?
Confirmed rentals are dispatched within 24 hours, and morning bookings often ship the same day. Booking a few days ahead is recommended to confirm availability.
Who covers damage during the rental?
The renter is responsible for damage, loss or theft during the rental period and must carry insurance for the full replacement value before the equipment ships. Most clients use their existing contractor's all-risk or equipment floater policy.
